The Ugandan North American Medical Society (UNAMS) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1998. Its main objective is to foster unity and collegiality among physicians, surgeons and dentists who have an interest in Uganda, regardless of place of domicile or location of graduating medical/dental school. Its other objective is to organize and channel assistance to Ugandan institutions and individuals in the medical community in that country, in an organized manner that empowers, promotes excellence and has long-term sustainability.
